Today we had a woman named Laurie that teaches what she refers to as Natural Leadership Training and what we refer to as tricks. I mean seriously people, how cool would it be to teach your horse tricks!

We had this scheduled for the people around the barn and will start opening it up for others now that we’ve tried it out. It was actually a lot more fun than we originally thought and our horses got some experience doing things they would never have done otherwise.

The basics of the round pen apply here, so there really wasn’t a whole lot different than we were doing in that respect. However, when she showed up and started hanging Christmas stuff on the fence and basketball goals with a bucket full of toys, it looked a bit different from what we’d been doing.

We had a great time today and thanks to Laurie and Jennifer for making it happen. If you’re interested in participating in one of the classes in the future let us know and we’ll get you signed up. It is well worth the time.
